I tend to write about things that begin relatively normally and then go quietly wrong. As they do. My short stories and poetry have appeared in a number of online and print magazines, such as The View From Here, Every Day Fiction, www.litro.co.uk, Alliterati, Ripple and Obsessed with Pipework. I've also contributed to matchbook's Google ad story campaign and the audio-magazine Cursive Script. I've had a few things included in 'commended' anthologies for Leaf Books, and I blog sometimes for www.litro.co.uk. The closest I have come to fame and fortune (so far) was to win the Kingston Writing School Launch competition (and a week at the Collaldra School of Writing in Venice with the inimitable Barrie Keeffe). I run write time, a writers' support organisation in Guildford, Surrey, providing workshops, retreats and gatherings for writers in the South East. All levels and genres are welcome. I'm also a freelance writer and editor with over twenty years' experience and very reasonable rates, should you need one. Recent awards 1st Prize - Clandon Wood Natural Burial Reserve Poetry Competition 2nd Prize - Brooklands Pen to Paper short story competition ... But seriously: There once was a woman from Guildford, Whose dark room equipment was pilfered. So out of sorts, She couldn't report If the paper was Kodak or Ilford. |
